Sydney, Australia (AHN) - "Black Crowe" Chris Robinson has left Australia after reportedly trying to patch up his broken marriage with Kate Hudson one last time. The rocker was in the tropical state of Queensland visiting his estranged wife and son Ryder while she films "Fools Gold" with Matthew McConaughey. However, the final attempt to reunite with the "Skeleton Key" star is said to have failed and the musician is now on his way back to Los Angeles with his two year old son. The father and son were last seen together in Sydney. According to sources, Robinson has struggled with the concept of being separated from Ryder for the two month long duration of filming. Hudson is contracted to stay Down Under for one more month while Robinson will care for Ryder in the US, according to reports.

Actor Kate Hudson may be resistant to a reconciliation, but her estranged husband Chris Robinson appears to be pulling out all the stops to convince his estranged wife to give their relationship another chance. At least that has been the talk from Port Douglas since Robinson turned up in their little coastal town in Far North Queensland a week ago. The Black Crowes front man slipped quietly into Port Douglas where Hudson has been shooting the romantic comedy Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey. If Robinson was hoping to go unnoticed in town, he's failed. His pale, lean bearded figure makes him something of a spectre in a town where tans are commonplace. Industry gossip is that Robinson has flown to his ex's side in the hope of convincing her to give their marriage another shot.

Rock star Chris Robinson left Australia yesterday with his young son after reportedly attempting to reconcile with estranged wife Kate Hudson. The Black Crowes frontman has spent the past 10 days in a small Far North Queensland town, where Hudson is filming romantic comedy Fool's Gold. According to local reports, the rocker was devastated by the thought of being separated from the couple's only child during the film's two-month shoot. The star has had custody of two-year-old Ryder since arriving in Queensland in late October to begin filming the comedy opposite Matthew McConaughey. Robinson was seen with his son and a nanny in Sydney where they kept a low profile at a city hotel before flying back to Los Angeles. The couple split in August when Robinson filed for divorce following reports she had an affair with her You, Me And Dupree co-star Owen Wilson, which the actress has denied.
Kate Hudson Will Never Play a Hooker
The 'You, Me and Dupree' star is very content to continue portraying happy-go-lucky twenty-somethings and has no plans to take on more grittier characters. Kate, 27, told Cosmopolitan magazine: "When you're younger, you play people figuring out who they are - not that dimensional, unless you're playing a drug addict or a hooker. But I'm not really interested in playing a hooker. The hooker with the heart of gold, no thanks!" Kate, whose mother is Goldie Hawn, added: "Of course I want more children. But I don't know how many.
